Show -2- 5. A letter from the Stat e Nominating Chairman to clubs suggesting how they should go about getting candidates for state office. President Lenox asked that each member of the executive committee study the bylaws as they are now and be prepared to make recommendations for changes at the next meeting. It was su§gested that Cynthia Curtis, state bylaws chairman, attend th i s portion of the meeti ng so the recomrnendo+Ions can be presented to her. Irene Parson proposed that we revise State Federation bylaws as near as possible to National Federation with particular emphasis on a new office (that of president elect) and also the organization of the State Board as it relates to the National Board. The president suggested that the Resolutions Committee for State Convention be appointed now so that there wi II be more time for them to work. She proposed Jean Fox as chairman which was satisfactory with the committee. It was suggested that a representative of each of the other six districts be asked by Jean to serve with her (possibly the vice directors of the districts). The next executive committee meeting was set for Saturday night, following the Youthpower Conference. January 23, A letter- from He len Hansen from Horton, Norway, had been rece ived requesting list of club presidents in the State. She is sight-seeing in the U.S.A. and is showing slides and lecturing at private schools, clubs, etc., along her tour. It was suggested that clubs in an area might combine for such a meeting. a The winter board meeting will be held on Sunday, Jama ry 24, 1965, at Hotel Utah Junior Ballroom from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Reservations for lunch at 12:15 in the Empire Room should be made with Emma Beck.
