Be it enacted by the Legislature or the State ot Utah: (1) "Employee means any individual emploNed by individuals employed by the state or any including employer, of its political subdivisions inoluding public bodies. (1) No employer shall discriminate between em ployees in the Bame establishment on the basis ot sex, by paying wages to an employee in an occupation or this state at a rate less than the rate at which he pays any employee ot the opposite sex tor comparable work on 30bs which have comparable requirements relating to Skill, effort and responsibility. Dtfterent1als Which are paid pursuant to established seniority systems or merit in crease systems, which do not discr1mdnate on the basis ot sex, are not within this prohibition. (2) An employer who 1s paying a wage differential in Viola tion or this act shall not, in order to comply with it, reduce the wage rates ot any employee. (3) No person shall cause or attempt to cause an employer to discriminate against any employee in violation of this act. (4) or discriminate against any taken by such employee to invoke employee by reason or any action or aSSist in any manner the enforcement or this act. No employer may discharge Seotion 3.
