Decries the lack of authority of the excellent doctor there. Complains that Supt. Wattson is not in favor of Indian self- government. NA/ RG75/ 13507- 1934- Con Ute 155 June 10, 1936 Wattson, D. H., Supt., Con. Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Writes that the Ute Mountain council visited him and said that the former chief had blamed Henry Williams, a medicine man, for his illness and impending death. The chief instructed the council to get rid of Williams. The council requested Williams be placed in a penitentiary a long distance away.
