Bowman, Agent, Navajo Agency In response to Bowman's recent letter, Patten has asked Major Hall, Commanding, Fort Lewis, to aid him in returning any Utes that have left the reservation. He comments that from 8 to 85 Navajo Indians come almost weekly to trade at the reservation store. He asks that Bowman also try to keep the Navajos from trespassing on Ute land.
