Letter to Supt., Mesa Verde National Park Utes have expressed dissatisfaction with boundary lines of reservation which include lands exchanged for Mesa Verde Park. Reviews 1911 council and agreement. Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs At a council meeting held Feb. 1, the Indians were upset that no information could be given them about the agreement with the government to exchange lands for the expansion of Mesa Verde Park. Wattson Notes dissatisfaction of the Ute Mountain Utes with the boundary of their reservation. Reviews history- Records show that 14,520 acres were exchanged for 30,240 acres. Terms of the agreement were complied with. Quotes the transcript of the 1911 council. Also notes that Congress ratified a modified agreement because the Mesa Verde tract was enlarged.
