Show Financial Affairs - 277 (?), 1904 Smith, Joseph O., Supt Certification Certifies that employees at Navajo Springs have not been paid for the third quarter of 1904. Nov- 23, 1904 Peterson, W. M., Supt., Ft. Lewis School Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Peterson reports that Chief Ignacio has brought six children to Ft. Lewis that were enrolled at So. Ute Agency. Peterson requests advice as to whether to return these children. Peterson also requested official approval that the area trader, Mr. Noland, be required to withhold credit from those Utes not sending their children to school; withholding of annuity payments has proved ineffective, as the Utes were being thus supplied. 1905 Custer, Burton B., Supt. & Spl. Agent Annual Report of the Dept. of the Interior Fiscal Year ended June 30, 1905 Agent gives condition of the reservation for past year and stats of funds held in trust, receipts and disbursements on account of Indian lands, income of tribe, population and educational statistics in regards to the Colorado Utes.
