Oct. 10, 1922 Meritt, E. B., Asst. Commissioner Letter to E. E. McKean Brandon reported that Mancos Farm should be used to grow feed crops for the tribe's sheep herd. Asks for recommendations to put farm into operation. Also, states that monthly allowances had been reduced to only the old, indigent, and disabled, and that the Indians are expected to provide for themselves. Ute Agency Mrs. Wiegel asks if the congressional committee that said it was investigating conditions on the Ute Reservation actually showed up. Money has been promised for a museum at Mesa Verde, but she is concerned that the needy Indians will not receive what they need if money is spent in this way. July 15, 1925 McKean, E.
