Discusses possibility and costs of water supplied to the western reservation and the problem of allotments and water on the eastern section. Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Day names several Indians of the Ouray Agency who have been living on the So. Ute Reservation and who wish to remain and take allotments. Permission is requested to grant these requests. July 10, 1895 Teller, H. M., U. S. Senate Letter to D. M. Browning, Commissioner Objects to giving allotments to the Indians on the eastern end of the reservation. Opposes the method used by some BIA officials to encourage the Indians to take allotments.
