Commissioner Letter to Secretary of the Interior According to Congressional Act of Aug. 24, 1912 ( Public Law No. 3 35), Confederated Bands of Utes to be paid $ 100,000 by judgement of court of claims. The agencies involved in this disbursal are the Uintah & Ouray, Navajo Springs, and So. Ute. Tribal trust funds stated to be independent of said fund. Methods and prerequisites of payment discussed. Ute School McChesney ordered to prepare roll of all living Indians under his charge as of Nov. 12, 1912, approval date for office letter of Oct. 19, 1912. These efforts to initiate pre capita payments to Indians under guidelines dictated in Oct. 19th letter. Dec. (?), 1912 Hawke, 2nd Asst. Commissioner Letter to Secretary of the Interior Recommendation for approval of So. Ute Agency roll and that Supt. of the So.
