Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs George Bent, Buckskin Charley, and Charles Shoshoni request pensions on account of their having enlisted as soldiers in the U. S. Army in 1866 or 1867, during which time they helped subdue the Kiowa Indians.
