Show 186 The President called attention to the Constitution CONSTITUTION OF STUDENT which has been drafted governing operation of the UNION APPROVED Student Union of the University of Utah, a copy of which had been attached to the agenda. Following a brief discussion, on motion of Regent O'Connor seconded by Regent Woolley, the Student Union Constitution was approved and a copy ordered filed. The President stated that under date of February WALLACE 24 he sent a communication to Drt Harold Bentley,STEGNER GRAN TED PERMISSION Director of the University Press, giving permission to TO REPRINT Mrs, Wallace Stegner (a former University faculty member) ARTICLE to reprint an article by Mrt Stegner which first appeared in the Western Humanities Reviewn for the Board‘s confirmation, The President asked On motion of Regent Woolley, seconded by Regent Toronto, the Board approved the President's. requesto Regent OBConnor moved approval of the request of USE OF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES GRAN TED YMMIA Young Men's. Mutual. Improvement Association for the use of the stadium, field house, Kingsbury Hall, Union Build- ing, and gymnasium in connection with the annual June dance festival of that organization, Motion was seconded by Regent Toronto and carried. A request for the use of Kingsbury Hall by the Order of the Eastern Star on April 23, 1954, (tentative) was approved on motion of Regent Toronto seconded by |
