Show 15 This action by the Board of Examiners concludes the matter of out~of-state travel which has been under dis- cussion for the past several months. (See minutes of May 11 and June 8 regarding out-of-state travel). OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL PROCEDURE APPROVED BY GOVERNOR Chairman OlConnor presented the following letter from Mr. D. K. Moffat, Budget Examiner, State Commission of Finance: June 26, 1953 Mr. Leon D. Garrett, Secretary and Controller University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Mr. Garrett: Governor Lee has reviewed your "Work Program" for the first fiscal year of the 1953-55 biennium for the period beginning July 1, 1953 and ending June 30, 1954. Under the provisions of Title 63‘2-20, Utah Code Annotated 1953, the Governor deemed it advisable to reduce the amount of the appropriated money requested for the operation of your Administration Division from $2, 725, 000.. 00, the re- quested amount to $2, 397, 501, 55, a net decrease of $32 7, 498. 45. The decrease in appropriated money available for the first fiscal year, requires a revision of your work program, and for your convenience, I am enclosing a set of forms for you to complete and return to this office as soon as possible, Yours very truly, DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE D.
