Show (‘0 .» (D Beginning at a point 630' S and 315' W of Monument 6, as shown on a map designated as HExhibit R", and prepared by the Department of the Army Corp of Engineers, Office of the District Engineer, San Francisco, California and entitled "Fort Douglas Utah Boundary, Map of Westerly Portion, Declared Surplus", and dated June 14, 1948, and running thence west 465', thence south 225', thence east 283', thence south 300 east 260', thence north 600 east 190', thence north 300, west 225', thence north 160.3' to the point of beginning and containing 3 1/3 acres, more or less. The following resolution providing for a site for the RESOLUTION ON SITE FOR construction of the Men's Dormitory was adopted on MEN'S DORMITORY motion of Regent Bowen seconded by Regent Cox: ADOPTED EEE'QEEILQE WHEREAS, the Board of Regents of the University of Utah has undertaken to construct, equip and furnish a Men's Dormitory on the campus as a self-liquidating project in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 38 of Title 53 of the Utah Code Annotated, 1953, NOW THEREFORE, in order to effectuate said purpose, and subject to and in accordance with said statute, the Board of Regents of the University of Utah hereby sets aside as a necessary "andzsuitable site for the erection of said Men's Dormitory that part and portion of the campus of the university described as follows: THAT said building is located on, and entirely within a rectangular piece of ground one thousand feet long and two hundred forty feet Wide. THAT the longer axis of said plot bears N 550 45' E, and that the shorter axis is at right angles thereto. THAT all of said rectangle lies within a grant of 298. 59 acres from the- War Assets Administration to the University of Utah by Quit Claim Deed of October 26, 1948. THAT the Northwest corner of said rectangle is 1984. 7 feet North and 317,2 feet East of monument No. 5 located on the former Westerly boundary of Ft. Douglas Military Reservatio n as shown upon the map of the Department of Army, Corp of |
