Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs States that some allotted Indians in Allen Canyon are taking grazing allotments on Douglas Mesa and in Paiute Canyon. Utes and the Ute Mountain Indians have elected business councils and signed resolution authorizing the commissioner to grant leases.
