Show DRAMATICS The dramatic manager, Morgan E. Kerr, deserves much credit tor his efficient handling of the varsity play in making it a financial success. All business details of the management were directed by Mr. Kerr, including the booking of several out-of-town trips, and his consistent interest was displayed by constant attention to his responsibility. Morgan Kerr Dramatic Manager Babcock, Smith Schneider, Blood Clayton tic The Dramatic Council, which is composed of elected students and faculty members, has the supervision of all dramatic activities of the university, outlining the program for the entire year early in the season. The council ably functions in the selection of the annual varsity and freshman play, in securing competent judges for tryouts, and in the appointment of a dramatic manager. It also acts as an advisory board in all financial matters concerning the department, approves the student manager's account, and recommends awards for students active in dramatic work. This year the council was composed of Professor Joseph F. Smith, chairman, Professor Maud May Babcock, and Dr. Hyrum Schneider,, ex-officio members, Evelyn Blood and Hyde Clayton, student representatives. Professor Babcock was the director for the thirty-ninth annual varsity play, and Professor Smith directed the freshman play. The group held meetings regularly to determine the dates for these plays, and to plan the financial details relative to their production. Morgan E. Kerr served in the capacity of dramatic manager, and supervised financial details of the varsity play, The Late Christopher Bean, making arrangements for presentations of the play in several towns throughout the state, where it played to packed houses each night.
