Show ACTIVITIES HHHHnHHHHHHB The 1936 Prom Theme Considering the harmony with which the committee members worked, the selection was made with unusual precision. Members who contributed to the success were Julia Brixen, Emeline Nebeker, Maxine Crookston, Carolee Walker, Marian Saunders, Dee Parkinson, Sam Thjr-man, Dan Eastman, Claron Alldredge, and Sam Holmes. Parkinson, Brixen, Thurman, Walker, Eastman Alldredge, Saunders, Crookston, Nebeker, Holmes bridge, where the helm of the boat and large life preservers were done in the school colors. The orchestra members wore sailor uniforms. The little theatre was used as an additional ballroom; it was decorated with numerous red and white life-savers, in which were centered the letters of the sororities and fraternities. The hall outside the little theatre was transformed into a ship's bar-room, and the game rooms and lounges were furnished with deck chairs and umbrellas and thereby resembled a ship's deck. The cloakroom was fitted out as a purser's office, with stewards acting as attendants. During the evening, dinner was served in the cafeteria, at which time long, slender compacts, with four compartments, smartly done in white and silver were presented as favors to the ladies.
