Show DRAMATICS The atmospheric tragedy of "Ghosts'1 was sensitively interpreted by Parley Baer as the emotional young artist in the production directed by Professor Maud May Babcock. Other parts were adequately filled by Willard Freebairn, Ruth Clark, Valois Zarr, and Mrs. Shirley P. Jones. Contrasting the morbid beauty of Ibsen's play, was the delightfully invigorating Noel Coward comedy, "Hay Fever," directed by Profesor Joseph F. Smith. Clever dialogue and snappy action provided splendid opportunities for individual characterizations, by Evelyn Blood, Robert Wilson, Beatrice Call, Charles Sassoon, Vee Hunt, Norma Snow, Keith Brown, Grace Cannon, and Morgan Kerr. Oscar Wilde's dramatic work, "The Ideal Husband," was directed by Mrs. Lila Eccles Brimhall. Particularly outstanding were Janet Porter, Barrie Wanless, and Lois Murphy, supported by Richard DeBord, William Francoifi, Carl Welti, Joe Williams, Beth Christensen, Helene Westlund, Edithbelle Hammel, Ellen Neff and Parley Baer. Completely an interesting program, blackout scenes were given of "The Silver Cord" and Shaw's "You Never Can Tell." Hay Fever Two Hundred Eighteen |
