Show A weekend workshop at the Peruvian Lodge at Alta saw yearbook staffers gain tips on writing copy, on layout design, printing and photography. Pranks also had their place at this publications retreat and many a staffer banged long hours on the doors of their rooms to gain entrance while others found slimy fish in their suitcases. Further yearbook tips were gained by the editor and business manager when they joined the Chrony top brass and flew jet to Detroit to attend the Associated Collegiate11 fn fi i/ifi Press national convention-Wl/UlllU/ll The Utonian staff of '63 ex-perienced a year filled with hard work, tramas, social fun and humor. The traditional staff organization of typists, panelists and copy writers was replaced by class, greek, campus, special events, organizations and sports editors, all in charge of their respective sections. Proofs and layouts were periodically misplaced, usually before the zero hour for a deadline. An office party at Halloween, a Christmas party at the Sigma Pi house and a year-end dinner afforded relief from the pressure of meeting deadlines. The photographers turned the editor's office into a studio and the sports editor turned the business manager's office into a study hall. And the year drew to a climax as the emcee of the ASUU awards banquet made a public announcement that the '63 Utonian would indeed be unique by coming out before the end of school.r.\ .Jackie Back EditorAn-ChiejDavid Allen Business Manager |
