Show G. Stanley McAllister was for 18 years the director of buildings and plant operations for the Columbia Broadcasting System. He is presently vice president of operations and research at the Associated Dry Goods Corporation in New York. In 1946, he was named operating manager of Lord and Taylor, a New York department store. He is a graduate of the class of 1923.Miss V. Fae Thomas received her outstanding alumni plaque for her work in the field of speech. She graduated from the University in 1948 with a B.A. degree in that department. She has been producer-director of several American Broadcasting Company network shows including "Expedition" which won Ohio State and Thomas A. Edison Awards in 1961 and the George Foster Peabody Award in 1962.Dr. Wallace E. Stegner, professor of English and director of creative writing at Stanford University, graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1930. He taught at the University from 1934 to 1937 and has been a member of English faculties at State University of Iowa, Augustana College, University of Wisconsin and Harvard University.
