IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NOVEMBER 10, 1983 Mr. SEIBERLING introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs A BILL To identify, commemorate, and preserve the legacy of historic landscapes of Frederick Law Olmsted, and for other purposes. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3 That this Act may be cited as the "Olmsted Historic Land4 scapes Act". 5 6 CONGRESSIONAL FINDINGS SEC. 2. The Congress finds and declares that- 7 (1) Frederick Law Olmsted, Senior, was the pre- 8 mier American landscape architect during the nine- 9 teenth and early twentieth centuries and is considered |
