Show Record because I was not down there so often and I was not so familiar 5069 with the channel. I did not dare run at full speed. The speeds I have given you would apply to any month in the year, whether high or low water. On the up stream trip there was practically no difference between the speed at high water and low water to a person that understood the river. Once or twice, with the Chandler, I went up stream ten miles an hour between well 5070 No. 1 and Moab, with a light load. Three of the boats had submerged propellers. As to the other trips made during the last year with the Chandler, I think Virgil has been down to No. 1 or No. 2 for the oil company to get some tools, a couple of trips. I haven't driven it myself. That boat is still there at the dock ready to go any time, looking for passengers and none come. The other trips made this year with the large boat were made in November and maybe finished after the first of December. The purpose of those trips was moving oil well equipment from Lock-hart.
