Show Record a great flood. It will not be a complete rearrangement. There are places that do not change at all. Below the mouth of Nokai 4358 Canyon, at Zahn's Camp, I never saw the current of the river change. I observed a change at the mouth of Nokai Canyon, the mouth of Copper Canyon, but I never did observe it change at the mouth of Piute Canyon. I noticed it change at Indian Farms. I never noticed that same situation over on the Colorado River. William J. Nix testified for defendant on direct examination 4360 as follows: I reside at Blanding, Utah. I am a carpenter principally. I lived in Bluff between the years 1893 and 1895. I made boats 4361 during that period for miners down there. I made 5 or 6 boats for the miners and they took them down the river. I did not see them leave on the river. I made the boats right close to the lane leading to the river. They would take them down that lane to the river with their supplies. There were other men in Bluff that made boats for miners 4362 during the two year period I was there. Some of the miners made their own boats. William J. Nix testified on cross examination as follows: Those boats were made out of common pine lumber, inch plank. I used oakum between the cracks and nailed slats over the cracks and calked them up with oakum. They were a crude sort of row boat. William J. Nix testified on re- direct examination as 4364 follows: Those boats were 22 feet long and about 3 1/ 2 to 4 feet wide. I imagine they would draw about a foot of water when loaded. Albert R.
