A My uncle, Cass Hite, his partner, Joe Burgess, another partner, Al Starr, and a boy that we called " Mogullon"; I think his name was Matt Castro, but we called him " Mogullon". There were a few itinerant people there that came in because it was a new mining excitement. Those were the regular resident there. Q Did you engaged in placer thing? A I assisted, yes, sir. Q That is, along with your uncle? A My father and uncle, yes, sir. Q What equipment did the Hite company have for placer mining? A We shipped in a boiler and a couple of vacuum pumps.
