Q When was it that you first started to farm that land? A Well, I think I went down there in 1906. Q And started farming? A And I stayed there until September, 1914. Q Did you note any change which the river made on this farm in that period of time? A Cutting in the banks, do you mean? Q Yes. A No, Not of any consequence; not that you would notice. Q How did you get the water on it? A Well, we made a little dam there in the Trachyte Creek that come in from the west, comes out from the Henry mountain; and then made ditches and brought it on to the -- there is quite a flat there. Q During the time you were in there, did you have say difficulty with the ice? |
