A At Piute Farms, right where the flood would cause the main current to shift. Q Approximately how much time did you spend in and A We camped at Piute Farm for a period of four or five or six days: I don't remember exactly. But apparently at that time Bert Loper and I had a boat journey down the river past Piute Farms, and then we towed the boat up through the particular portion of the river. Q On that trip, from what point did you and Loper start? A At a place near Clay Hill Crossing, and we wanted to scout ahead, to learn something about the amount of work that we would be required to do to survey the canyon below that camp, and we went downstream for about half a day, rowing at most of the places, but the boat would ground at some places. And at night we camped a short distance north of the mouth of Knock Eye Creek. Q Now, was that the farthest point that you went |
