Q When did you make the first trip to Lees Ferry -- what year? man, Mr. Stanton, who located the river channel; it was 1900, 1899- 1900. I recall that we were at Lees Ferry New Years Day of 1900, and we started back up. Q How did you go down to Lees Ferry? A We went down in rowboats. Q who was in the company? A oh, we had three boat, now, and there was a Mr. Stanton and myself and a ran by the name of George Euden in one boat, and then there was Frank Bennett and Mike Ryan, and a man that we had picked up; I do not recall his name.
