Show 5641 91 3648 HOMER HITE, a witness heretofore called by and on behalf of the Complain-ant, and duly sworn, was recalled for the stand for further examination, and was examined and testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION By Mr. Blackmar: Q Mr. Hite, between Hite, Utah, and where you were a trail along the river? A No, sir; up over the top of the canyon above the river, yes, sir. Q And some of the supplies which you used, did you take them down by pack- train? A Yes, sir; we packed most of our material, excepting the heavy, unwieldy stuff; on account of the narrow trail, the bulky stuff would not pass, you know, and we packed all except the bulky stuff on pack animals. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q That is, in taking it to the river? A From one camp to the other, up and down, from Dandy Crossing to Tickaboo and Good Hope, on our properties. |
