Show 341a Mr. Farnsworth: What, the Green. Mr. Collins: Yes, sir. Mr. Blackmar: The Green and the Colorado both. Mr. Farnsworth: I do not think the statute does say that, but that is wholly immaterial. By Mr. Farnsworth. Q It was because that was what you book to be the navigable part of the river that you took that point, was it? A Do you mean the navigable part of the Columbia River? Q No, I mean the Green River. A I have made a study of all of the rivers as outlined on this map ( indicating), and therefore the comparison covers all of the rivers outlined on this map. Q Oh! And did you make your map to fit some other plan, or did you make the plan to fit the map? A No, sir. This map covers the Green, the Colorado and the San Juan Rivers, above Lees Ferry to Chinle Creek, Grand Junction and Greenriver, Wyoming. Q And you took in all those figures to show these elevations, and show how steep they were; that is why you made your limit there; that is why you fixed it there? A No; it was because Greenriver, Wyoming, was the end a the river survey. Q What is the name of your map? A " Shaded Relief Map of the Colorado and Green Rivers, 2306 |
