Show 259 A. You have me a little confused. When I wrote my report on the Green and Colorado Rivers I compared the run- off at certain points on those streams, to show which was the largest, and I showed that the maximum during certain months of the year was large on the Colorado River and certain months on the Green River; nothing of that is this report. This is a study of the gauging station records for each station. By the Special Master: Q. And each table refers only to one station? A. Each page refers to one particular station. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q. And any mention of variations in there, or comparisons, is always made with reference to a single station unless otherwise stated? A. Now, you are being so exact that I will have to qualify my statement. The station, for instance, referred to as on the Green River, or at Greenriver, has at different times throughout the course of the record, been, perhaps, in a stretch of seven or eight miles, and the gaugings have been at different points; but the station as published is referred to as the Greenriver gauging station, and for all practical purposes, the station at any one of those points of comparison is the same. But I might be comparing a maximum flow at a gauging station with a flow that might have been different from some other stage, if that is what you mean. Q. Do not get down to such a nicety as that.
