Show 261 By Mr. Farnswoth: Q. Over what period do these Cisco and Lees Ferry figures run-- the entire period from the beginning? A. Yes, sir. ( The document referred to was received in evidence and marked " Complainant's Exhibit No. 90.") Mr. Blackmar: I offer in evidence Complainant's Exhibit No. 90, which is the same at Bright Angel Creek. The Special Master: How is that competent? Mr. Blackmar: Well, it may figure in some other reports here, and it may be necessary to refer to that in connection with some floods down the river. And while it does not appear at this time, I would like to keep all of those gauging stations together. The Special Master: What difference do floods down the river make? Suppose that you were down in Boulder Canyon, and so on. I mean, are we not going pretty far from our field when we go down to Grand Canyon? Mr. Blackmar: Well, we have, of course, in this the question that the head of navigation at one time established by the War Department was at the mouth of the Virgin River. So that from time to time in this case it will be necessary to consider the whole Colorado Basin; and we have all of these gauging stations together; and it does not encumber the record very much, and I would like to have them in, so that if I want to use them I may do so. 2224 |
