Show 198 above Greenriver, where the river flows over a plain between the Brook Cliffs and the town of Greenriver, Utah. Q Was there a town formerly on the east bank opposite the town of Greenriver? A The General Land Office plat of June 6, 1883, shows a town which was known as East Blake in, approximately, the southwest corner of Section 10. In 1928, at the time of my examination, the main channel if the river flowed across the east half of Section 10, and what was the location of East Blake in 1883 would now probably be half a mile west of the river. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q What is that plate what you have? A That is plate 3. Q Before you leave that, so that I will definitely understand you: that mark where you have the 1800- and something location of the river -- you state that that was from an actual survey. A Yes. It is a tracing from the original plat, and I have a photogtat of the plat. Q Well, from a survey, or was it merely sketched? A This ( indicating) is traced from the survey. Q From the survey? A From a plat. By the Special Master: Q Was the plat made from a survey? 2161 |
