Show 334 case with those shown in your report, show very marked differences, I will say, in fall between the rivers that you use us illustrations and the three rivers involved in this case, do they not? A There are very marked differences between the other rivers and these rivers; yes, sir. Q By the way, you say you have been out in the Northwest studying rivers for some time? A I have been; yes, sir. Q On your direct examination, when you were asked concerning the rivers that you had to do with in the Northwest, or in the western section of the country, as I recall, you mentioned the Snake and the Salmon. A Yes, sir. Q They are the only two rivers that you made a care-ful study of in that western section of the country, are they not? A The only large rivers. Q The only two large rives? A The only two large rivers. They are two of the largest rivers there. Q Why did you not give the Court the benefit of a comparison with the falls of those two rivers that you made a special study of, and compare with the three rivers here in question, instead of taking the Mississippi and the Columbia and some of these other rivers? 2298 |
