Show 199 By Mr. Farnsworth: Q Was the plat made from and actual survey on the ground? A General Land Office Survey, April 6, 1883. Q Please answer the question. Was it made from an actual survey on the ground or not? A I think the original plat shows; there is a statement signed by the officials of the General Land Office that that is a true and correct copy from the notes. Q From the notes. How, will you answer my question? Do the records show that that plat was made from an actual survey on the ground? Mr. Blackmar: Well, as I understand it, all of these were actual surveys. Mr. Farnsworth: Well, let us get at it. The witness: Why, it is an official government map. I suppose that it was made from surveys. By Mr. Blackmar: Q Well, Mr. Hoyt, it is not customary to make up any of these maps except from actual surveys? Mr. Farnsworth: We object to his leading the witness. Ordinarily I would not raise that objection.
