Show CONVENTION - - CEDAR CITY IE _ lit III With thirty-three lively members the Cedar City Club is nearing the end of what we feel to be a profit able year. Wishing to make the State Convention something to be long-remembered, we have concen trated a great deal of our energy to wards that end. Our project is "Ad vertising Cedar City and Southern Utah through the medium of the big gest and best convention ever held in the State". Already prominent citizens have remarked that our in fluence is being felt in attracting attention to this end of the State. The aim in our club work this year business has been making better women for a better business world by beginning at home to unite our members into a sisterhood for the good of all. Some wonderful pro grams with every member partici pating have been put over. Let the State Convention convince you that we have not been asleep! -ALTA HUNTER. COALVILLE CLUB .. IlII Ill - We feel we have taken a step for ward this year by the request that women of Summit County be rec ognized on the juror's list. Judge P. C. Evans responded by recom mending such a procedure to the next Juror Commission. -VIOLA ZUMBRUNNEN. DUCHESNE CLUB . - - . Although the Duchesne Club has had a rather difficult time at mak ing money, every member has co operated in every way to make this successful one. One of our a activities was successful bridge tournament given to raise funds for the building of a First Aid station in Duchesne. We donated to the school for beautification of the grounds; to the Red Cross for flood relief; and have done considerable in the way of making additions to the' BPW bookshelf at the school. Our club was chosen by the City Council to head a "Clean-up Day" in the City. The project proved very beneficial. At the present time we year most a working on a plan to pump water Cemetery.' When this is com pleted, we have our famous BPW are a busy year and we feel that much has been accomplished. Our activities have in cluded - to the .. The Coalville Club has had . 21 BULLETIN swimming parties, farewell parties for two of our members, be ing hostess to the District Confer ence, and sponsoring the movie, "The Rebels". We have made a drive to have all our members secure physical examinations, and have as sisted the P.-T. A. in furnishing a girls' rest room at the North Summit High School. Our meetings have been interesting and educational. In No vember Mrs. Maude Neeley Leaver and Miss H. Claire Haines were our speakers. During Business and Pro fessional Women's Week three of our club members gave talks on the sub ject "Woman As Citizen", at the local church gatherings and at High School assemblies. W have a set of America Encyclo peadia, and have a pay book shelf with the latest books. 2. We met with the Price girls and helped them in re-organiz ing their club.
