Show ,rb(} EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING Minutes of Executive Board meeting of the utah State Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs held at Newhouse Hotel, in Salt Lake 17, 1935 at 10 a.m. City, Utah, Sunday, March President Lula Clegg called the meeting to order and presided. Present: President V:"Pres. Corr. Sec'y Recording Sec'y 2nd S. Central Dist. Chairman Dixie District Chairman , Lula Clegg Blanch Pittman Ruby D. Str::ngham Lora J)unn Buckley Gladys McConnell Amelia Minutes of Executiye Board meeting held at ldway, Utah, Sept. 30, 1934 were read and approved. Blanch Pittman reported on the splendid material she had received from the various committee chairman; and from this ma.terial she gleaned that all clubs were functioning. Ruby D. Stringham, Corresponding Secretary, reported copies of the constitution and by-laws had been sent to the vari ous club s The cost of printing 500 books was $32.50; each club be "ring its own expense at 10¢ per copy per member; and stating that several clubs had not yet responded. Mrs. Stringham moved the adoption of her report. that , Motion seconded and carried. President Clegg reported that the club bulleting "For Together" had been sent to all clubs, the theme being "Security for All", and that Business Women r s week was being observed by all clubs throughout the State.THat National had ward allotted $7500·to be used the balance of the year for the orgai1ization of new clubs and building up of old clubs; and to promote the work of the Federation. It was decided that the State Federation would send a member to each of the smalle clubs to give talks during Business Women's week. Miss Lethe Coleman was chosen to do this work and talk on the slogan "Opportunity" Alice Manning was also chosen to assist in this work President Clegg will· also visit clubs in the interest of this work during Business Women's week. •. |
