Entertaining and instructive meetings have been provided by the committee chairmen, including special speakers, panel discussions and the study of an English course. The projects undertaken this year have been: To keep up a book shelf in the library; to coo=erate with other orqanizations to keep the library open three nights a week; and to help beautify the Coalville City Park. It has a population of only 500, but everyone is alive and striving to make a better and bigger community. President. 19 Heber Club Two annual events with looked forward to pleasure by the Heber City Club the District Conference and the In ter-Club banquet. These were both held at Schneitter's Hot Pots this year and were very successfully carried out. Representatives from the Provo, Salt Lake and Heber Clubs were present at the conference and all enjoyed the mes sages brought to them by the state offi President Maud Neeley Leaver, cers, Elizabeth FitzGerald and Grace Cheever. The five civic clubs that joined with the Business and Professional Women's Club at the 'Inter-Club banquet were the Shakesperean Club, the Women' s Demo cratic Club, the American Legion Auxi liary, the Daughters of the Pioneers, and About the Relief Society Organization. 85 women were- present. Special guests at this meeting were Ruby Stringham Garrett and Alene Erickson. Mrs. Gar rett from the PWA office addressed the club on the subject "Opportunity." Rep resentatives from all the above clubs re sponded showing how their organization has an opportunity to do many worth while things for the growth and develop ment of women. A very delightful party was given in December in honor of Mrs. Francis Tat]e, who before her marriage was Miss Mrs. Tatje has been a Lethe Coleman. very active member in both the state and local organization, and although she will make her home in Chicago she stated that she intended keeping her member ship with the Heber Club. Our club president, Mrs. Maranda Young, moved from Heber early in the spring. She had served as postmistress for Heber City for about ten years. We regretted the loss of our president at that time, because interest lags when leader ship is not present.
