The clubs report a continuance of their study groups by panels, forums, lectures, and discussion groups. The most popular topics being National and State Legislation. Most clubs re port a continuance of Study in Uni versities and Colleges of individual members. These members are assist ing their clubs to grow in the im portant facts of the great living world today. Nine clubs have educational funds which are loaned to young women to continue their education. No club has reported favorably on the Youth Councils as recommended by our National Chairman. All clubs report some form of vo cational guidance help, but no club has started its guidance literature files. Many worthwhile community own . The Education Committee work of our Federation has been following the suggestions and recommendations of our National Program. Early in the year each local chairman received a bulletin suggesting the type of work to guide the club through the year. These suggestions called attention to the National goals and emphasized four major projects: 1. 7 BULLETIN ac tivities have rsulted from the spon sorship of Busmess and Professional Women's Clubs, the enumeration of which space does not permit. RECOMENDATIONS 1. That the Federation continue its effort to popularize and accum ulate materials, and extend the field for an effective vocational guidance program in our state schools and col leges, each club emphasizing what ever part of the vocational guidance assume ward, Youth Councils. LAVETA WALLACE, State Education Chairman. I'lnanco . - - . An effort has been made this year to have all Utah B. P. W. Clubs bud get their funds. We have also tried influence clubs that were not to charging local dues to do so, so that they may run on a sound basis. Reports were asked for from each club early in the year. Out of our sixteen clubs, thirteen sent in reports and it was found that one club was not charging local dues. Only seven clubs reported having a budget. As all business and professional our clubs should work on a business-like basis and charge local dues; also work to budget. we are women, The State Federation budget was prepared at the beginning of the year and copies given to each club presi dent. Our estimated annual revenue for the year was $250.00, and our es timated expenses $355.00, or $105.00 more than the revenue. Some of this deficit will probably be made up out of proceeds from the State Conven tion. This year we were allowed $100.00 from the National Federation for ex penses in organizing neW clubs. How ever, this is only given to us if used, and cannot be used for other pur poses.
