Moab Club -- Violet .southard, President When I returned to the state the third week of August, plans were well under Canyonlands Celebration. Our float was a station wagon covered with pennants representing every business end profession of way for the club's the participation in the membership. On October 26, the club cooperated with the AAUWj The Women's Literary Club, ana the Lions and Rotary Clubs in sponsoring a non-partisan rally at the high Al1 candidates for state and county school auditorium. offices, and for the school board were introouced and presented a two.,.and-one half minute statement about themselves, their qualifications and views. This was the first time such a meeting bad been held in Moab and it was' well received. .. The club was represented at the Leadership Conference in September at Salt lake; the Fa 11 District Conference a t Price a nd at the Winter Board Meeting in January. I also attended the State Convention at Panguitch last May. Plans are undel"t":lY for the Annual Spring Tea for graduating Senior girls of the Moab High School, the Spring District Conference at Draggerton, and the State Convention in Sa 1t I.a ke • We had a 2810 increase in membership this year. Due to our fluid population, it bas not been possible to stabilize the club. It is hoped tha·l this goal can be reached in the new club year. On the whole, we feel that this has been a good club year. We have not accomplised all that we would have liked, but the membership is dedicated the National Federa tton objectives and we are planning for "big" things in to 1963-64. Club The following officers were installed by Anna Erickson, past state presi dent, at a brunch in the Sky Room of the Hotel Utah on June 10, 1962.
