A Mock legislature was held to demonstrate how a bill becomes a law, very ably moderated by State Legislation Chairman Helen Scherer. Many of our members visited sessions of the legislature in January and February. Also, our club accepted the gracious invitation to attend the Legislation meeting of the Salt Lake Club. January 19, four of our members attended the InteTmountain Radio and TV Council, University of Utah. January 22 -was another evening 'In Foreign Affairs. State Federation Board meeting provided much excellent :5_nforma tion February 26, seven women were honored at the Hall of Fame Banque t Hotel Utah, including our Mrs. Junius Fisher. Fift,en of our mem bers atten6ed. At our February 13 meeting we made our contribution to the Heart and Rheumatic Fever Research Fund. Our Personal Development Committee presented an interesting program on career development giving sketches on women on Inter national, National, State a nd Club levels. These sketches were prepared by our own members. Music wa s furnished by a career woman who is blind. Central District Conference, April 20, Pioneer Village, featuring a dinner catered by Sugar House Club as our fund raising project to pay for complete furnishings of one of the rooms for girls at the New Detention Home. April 26, Arbor Day is our annual Tree Planting Day in Sugar House Park. Our club will also attend the dedication of the new Detention Home in May.
