Twenty species of Cotingidee were obtained by Mr. Bartlett, many of them being amongst tbe most characteristic species of the Upper-Amazonian avifauna, such as Iodopleura isabellce, Phcenicocercus nigricollis, Cotinga maynana, and C. porphyroleema. 1. PACHYRHAMPHUS CINEREUS (Bodd.); Scl. & Salv. P. Z. S. 1866, p. 190. Sarayacu, Chyavetas, and Chamicuros; not common in these localities (E. B.). 6. PACHYRHAMPHUS NIGER (Spix); Scl. & Salv. P. Z. Bi) ; Pebas (Hi). 8. LIPAUGUS CINERACEUS (Vieill.). " Chamicuros. I have often heard the notes of this wonderful bird in the dense forest between Xeberos and Chyavetas, but was never able to obtain it in that locality.
