MNIOTILTIDCE. It is curious how scarce the Mniotiltidae (so abundant in North America) are directly we get south of Panama. Their place in the economy of nature is, no doubt, supplied by the Tanagridse. Mr. Bartlett only obtained one species in Eastern Peru. BASILEUTERUS UROPYGIALIS, Sclater; Scl. & Salv. P. Z.
