Five of these are wide-ranging species, two only being peculiar to Upper Amazonia (Cyphorinus modulator and Microcerculus marginatus), while the last (Campylorhynchus hypostictus) occurs also in Bogota collections. 1. " The Flute- or Organ-bird of the Peruvians has a most wonderful song, and well deserves its name. Its nest is composed of sticks loosely laid together, and placed about five feet from the ground.
