Ute At her daughter's home (LIZZIE). she never suffer~d much, & died very peacefuly. I heard Mother aay that when they got ready to leave England, their Missionary President, went to see her Mother & he put his arm around her Mother & said. " mrs ~aylor this daughter of yours is the most presious child you have, Mother said "I could never understand what he ment by that," Till we moved over her End started to do Temple Work, then she said, " I know now what he ment," he .ent we would do their Temple Work. father & Mother's family was all active in the South Weber L.D.S. ~ard. Father being in the bishipric went to all the ward parti , ; dances, He was A very joly person and liked to step dance at times, At the dances they quite often had him out on the floor ' st -dancing during intermission. Father used to be A jolly person & liked to play jokes on other people, I never heard him swear or use bad langue, 7he only thin he used to Ray when he got real mad was "You Dang big block head". I never heard the boys a.verswear around home, Father was never A swell singer, but he used to sing A few of the old timer's, I have him sing this one many times. My Mother waH A more quiet person, Ye never heard her Singing around much, ~he only song r remember her singing, Was"Mother may I go in swiming, lee my dnrl ing uf.ughter, hang your cloths on A hickery bush, but don t go near the water. ~he left ~ngland when she was 18- years of age, & never seen nny of her folks since, the only relitave she ever seen since she come over here was her sister's daughter, which come over here sever ·, l years ago~ Jhe has been back to England, once for h visit for A short Lime. Mother Always hoped to go back to see her folks, but she never made it After Father Died, Mother was A widow for 28- long years, she died at the age of, nearly'97- years. her health was fererley good, except t~ warde the , last she almost ~ost her eye sight, & her hearing wae'nt,very good, but she never complained., she nev~r had A pperatlon, she sald ,she had A PatrIarch, ble~sing, & he told her she woul~'~1th out the sting of death. & ~he did. After Mother left her home, my daughter & her husband, bought her home, in 1952- they lived there till 1953, then they sold tit ~a anti moved to Hoy, Utah. My Father &. brothers built my brother Parley A home just on the north side of Father & Mother's bome. After my brother Parley passed away, his wife stayed there for some time then she sold that a::'so. Father built A light bri~k_~1 & Parley A red brick. home. When my parents first moved to Ogden they lived on the bench, between 21st.-& 20th-across the stree to the eouth of the old deaf& blind school, they had 5 children at this adress. Thera were lots of Indians around at that til It was nothing to see A big Indian put hie face up to the window & look in. |
