South Weber Amusement Hall Where was it? What was It? \Vhy was it? INTRODUCTION . The Gay Nineties brought a lot of good times to South Weber res idents. but everybody's favorite fun spo t was the So uth W ebe r Amusement Hall . built in 1897 by Jamt:s Ha rbe rtson Sr. and other res ident s o f the town . It was located near 73 86 South 1550 East. Families li vin g in So uth W eber bought shares o f s tock in the Dance Hall Company. and each famil y in town owned at least o ne share of stock o n which they received a yea rl y dividend . The orange-b rick building w ith the beautiful maple . ha rdwood fl oors west o f Ray ' s Valley Service is what re mains of the dance ha ll sa id to have been the fin est in Dav is County.
