Show __2__ Jose Elias Castro would testify that he was born July 20, 1895, in Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico; that he received his grammar school and high school education and education preparatory for his professional schooling as an attorney in the schools in the City of Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico; that he received his professional education as an attorney at law at Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico; and was admitted to practice on October 8, 1920, and has ever since been a duly qualified, licensed and acting attorney within the United States of Mexico, qualified to practice in the Federal and State Courts of the United States of Mexico. That after being admitted to practice in October 1920, he served as Secretary of the Court and Judge in the City of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and thereafter as Chief of the Department in the Government of that City. Later, in Mexico City, he served as Secretary of the Court. That in the State of Sonora, in the City of Guaymas, he acted as Defender of the Military Office. That he then moved to Mexicali, Lower California, Mexico, and became a Judge of the Federal Court in the Northern District of the Territory of Lower California, in which position he served for several years. That he later became President of the Central Board of Conciliation and Arbitration and has, for the last ten years or more, with the exception of intervening Government service, engaged in private practice as an attorney, with his office and principal place of business in Mexicali, Lower California, Mexico. That he served as Secretary General of the Government of the Northern Territory of Baja California while a Territory of the United States of Mexico and during the provisional government while said Territory was being converted to a State. That he has acted as attorney for the Compania de Terrenos y Aguas de la Baja California over a period |
