Show I have also taken possession of the distributing gates at Sharp's Heading and hereafter the same will be operated solely under my direction. Personally, the Depositario does not wish to cause any inconvenience or loss to the farmers of Imperial Valley and stands ready to fill promptly all orders for water which may be hereafter placed with him as Depositario and in order that there may be no inconvenience resulting to the farmers of Imperial Valley, I suggest that all orders for water issuing from the Mutual Water Companies of Imperial Valley that may be filed with you As Receiver of the California Development Company, be promptly turned over to me and the same will receive prompt attention from me As Depositario. I am sending a copy of this letter addressed to the President of each mutual water company. Yours truly, (Sgd) A. F. Andrade. Depositario." I have consistently refused to recognize Andrade, and have carried on all the maintenance work in Mexico in my name As Receiver, acting somewhat in the capacity of a Contractor. An office is maintained by me As Receiver in Mexicali, in which is kept a set of books in Spanish, covering my operations in Mexico, together with Spanish copies of all pay rolls, team vouchers, etc., all of which are properly stamped in order to comply with Mexican laws. On October 2nd, 1913, I was forced out of Mexico by A. F. Andrade, Depositario for the California Development Company's canals located in Mexico.
