Show CLYDE L. EDDY For Complainant ( R. Vol. l. pp. 31- 97) He resides at 22 Litchfield Road, Fort Washington, Long Island, New York. He is sales executive with E. R. Squibb & Son, and is forty years old. He is a graduate in pharmacy from the University of California; has been employed in retail drug stores; has been editor of the DRUGGISTS'S CIRCULAR, New York, and prior to attendance at the University of California has been two years in the United States Navy. He has been attached to the Air Service and made pictures in France for the War College. In 1927 he made a trip on the Colorado River. Preparatory to such trip he made examination and investigation as follows: In 1909 he first saw the Colorado River, and concluded " that there was a river that I wanted to run. It had always been a dream of mine to go down some bad river. So in 1919 I decided that the Colorado River would be the river. During the next eight years. I very carefully read and studied Dellenbaugh's books, both the " Romance of the Colorado", and the " Canyon Voyage". I read the books by Emory Ellsworth Kolb, and read the reports and publications of the United States Geological Survey, and worked on this expedition as spare times during eight year. R. 32- 33 |
