Show 88 84 " On the 27th of September, the mean flow, as reported at the ganging station, was 2,830 second- feet. The mean flow on the 28th was 4,000 second- feet. During that night the flood reached a stage of 6,000 second- feet at 4 a. m., as shown by the recording gauge records. On October 4th, there was a flood which reached the stage of 16,400 second- feet. On October 15 there was a flood which reached a peak of 16,000 second- feet; and on October 31, there was a peak flood of 7,980 second- feet." " The Special Master: There were all taken at Greenriver? " The Witness: All taken at Greenriver. Now, we were in the canyon, and experienced the flood of October 14th and 15th." R. 190- R. 191. " By the Special Master: " Q What do you mean - a sudden rise? " A A sudden rise. A flood of 16,000 second- feet in October is a considerable flood for that particular period of the year at Greenriver." R. 191. When he and his party experienced that flood they were in the canyon, below the mouth of the San Rafael, " and on October 11th and 12th were surveying the bar at mile 80.5" R. 192.
