Show Dellenbaugh- D MR. FARNSWORH: I take it when that comes, then the conclusion will be in. Until then, I think this should be out. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I think this is merely preliminary, and at all events, whatever might be the head of navigation down in Arizona or Nevada has no bearing on whether the river is navigable in the state of Utah. This is all preliminary. MR. FARNSWORTH: With that interpretation of the testimony, I won't object. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Give us the location of Callville. A It is seven miles east of Vegas wash; Vegas wash is the wash that comes down from the region of Las Vegas, Nevada; it is about two or three miles below the end of Boulder canyon; that was the location of the warehouse. This warehouse was constructed, but it never was used to any extent. Q Now, in connection with that work have you reduced to writing the various historical documents which bear upon the question? A Yes. MR. BLACKMAR: I offer in evidence Exibit 620, which deals with the settlement of the San Juan region in and about Bluff, prepared by Mr. Dellenbaugh. MR. FARNSWORTH: Of course that is a bulky document we have never seen. |
