DELLENBAUGH; The diary was bequeathed to me by Professor Thompson when he died. I presented it to the New York Public Library. THE SPECIAL MASTER: When, Mr. Dellenbaugh? MR. DELLENBAUGH: When was that? THE SPECIAL MASTER: Yes. MR. DELLENBAUGH: I think that was about 1905, but I am not exact on that. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Before the beginning of this suit? MR. DELLENBAUGH: Oh, long before, yes; it was at least fifteen years ago that Professor Thompson died. MR. BLACKMAR: Offer in evidence Exhibit 628, being the diary of S. V. Jones. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Who was Mr. S. V. Jones? A He was one of the topographers of the second Powell expedition. Q Where is the original of that now? A That is in the National Department of the New York Public Library. Q Do you know how it got there? A Presented by his widow, at my suggestion. |
